My predictions have so far been ok, I predicted the draw at Norwich and the previous two home wins and number three will follow today
With Andy Carroll finally signing for the Hammers he looks great value at 5/1 to be top goalscorer and you will notice that Carlton Cole is also the same odds with Betvictor. But I know where my tenner is going, Kevin Nolan is joint favourite alongside Vaz Te at 4/1 To our match at home to Sunderland. If Carroll is fit and playing, I will be going for a comfortable 3-1 win with the best price at 20/1 with both Stan James and Paddy Power and I’ll also back the Hammers for the outright win at 13/10 with Ladbrokes. Without Carroll I would still take us to win but only 2-1 in a tight encounter which is available at 8/1 with most firms so I would suggest using Bet365 because of their 0-0 money back offer.
My goalscorer bet would be Mark Noble E/W who is currently priced at 16/1 in most places because I believe we are due a penalty and with Yossi & Matt Jarvis hopefully starting I think we might get one. Now onto our midweek cup encounter with Wigan. Big Sam is expected to a make a few changes as he did in the last round making ten changes with only Nolan keeping his place. But the players who come in will be out to impress and I would expect Martinez to do the same and I believe we have a slightly stronger squad and will record a 3-2 to victory. Onto the first goalscorer I’m going to go for Vaz Te grabbing the first after being dropped for the previous game.
We are next in action against QPR on Monday week and despite finding it hard to predict a Hammers loss, I am reluctantly going to suggest that QPR are going to win 2-1 with former Hammer Zamora scoring for the home side. Hopefully I am proved wrong but ten points from the opening six games will be a fantastic start to the season as we are up against one of “top four” clubs in Arsenal soon.
Just to give you an update to my prediction’s at the start of the season. Blackburn winning the Championship has started of ok as they are currently top and my other two teams Preston and Oxford are both mid-table. Finally QPR are still in the Capital Cup so hopefully I will get a few right.
