Have you ever dreamed about playing alongside a West Ham legend?
Fancy testing your skills against former Premier League stars? Or, how would you like to gain some valuable sporting tips from a former England international? On Sunday, March 24, corporate football events company, Awayday Football, is giving you the chance to do that by hosting a special, oneoff match that will see a Julian Dicks XI take on a Dean Ashton XI — with teams made up of you, the fans!
Awayday Football organises football-based coaching and playing experiences, tailored to motivate your workforce. Through the help of formerprofessionals and top flight coaches, each programme is created to match the needs of your company — helping find what really motivates your staff.
And as a one-off, we will be holding this special day to show just what we can do. Hosted at Barnet FC’s brand new training facility — The Hive London — the exclusive event takes places from 12pm to 4pm. The day will begin with an introduction to both Dean and Julian, where you will also be allocated to one of their Dicks XI V Ashton XI teams. This will swiftly be followed by a one-hour coaching session with your manager, where you will gain an insight into their football knowledge.
Designed as a fun-based session, players with all levels of fitness will enjoy, and benefit from, spending time with our great team of dedicated coaches and expros. You’ll then get a chance to rest up during lunch, where Dean and Julian will giving you a chance to quiz them on their careers. Then after lunch it’s time for kick off! The match will be 60 minutes long, split into 15 minute quarters and it will be on a full-size astro turf pitch with an FA licensed referee taking charge.
At full-time, the day will be rounded off with an awards ceremony, as well as the opportunity to have your picture taken with Dean and Julian. With just 28 places available, this informal experience is one not to be missed by die-hard fans. Although the minimum participation age is 14, we welcome players of all abilities and genders. The cost of the event per person is just £115, which includes lunch and refreshments on arrival.
