February was a pretty decent month for West Ham.
Admittedly there wasn’t a lot of action but we picked up some good results and were terribly unlucky not to get three points against West Brom. Everyone is saying the Baggies have had a great season but if you look at the Premier League table you’ll see that we’re not too far behind them – that just shows how well we have done recently.
We’ve got to the point where we are not in any real relegation trouble and should be looking up the table again and looking to catch the likes of West Brom and Everton. If we are to finish the season strongly we’ll need to get as many games out of Andy Carroll as possible.
You can never be too sure with Andy’s injuries but it looks like he missed the Albion game through injury prevention rather than anything serious. It’s the same old story with Andy though. Every time he gets going and scoring goals he gets an injury. It is why we need to sign another striker this summer.
Forwards are the difference between winning and drawing games in the Premier League and we’ll need to make sure we go out and get the right man to take us into next season.
