I was hoping to see one or two more bodies arriving at West Ham during the January transfer window because I feel like we needed them to boost the squad.
Bringing in players always gives the squad a boost, especially during the fi nal push of the season, because they bring new enthusiasm and energy that rubs off on everyone else.
With the likes of Diafra Sakho, Andre Ayew and Jose Fonte leaving the club and us not really replacing these like-for-like, I’m worried we’ve left ourselves too short.
It’ll be fine when everyone returns from injury but in recent seasons, we’ve not been too lucky when it comes to injuries and it’ll only need one or two and suddenly we will be back to the bare bones.
Moving on and the defeat away at Brighton at the start of February wasn’t ideal but we bounced back to pick up three much-needed points at home to Watford.
The defeat up at Liverpool wasn’t unexpected and while I have only seen the highlights, it looked like it could have been a lot worse.
They are a class side but the loss at Swansea was unacceptable. Our remaining games in March are all against sides around us and we must win.
