Jordan Hugill has joined Championship side Queens Park Rangers on-loan until the end of the season.

The 27-year-old striker spent last season on-loan at Middlesbrough and will spend a second consecutive season in the second tier.

David Moyes signed Hugill from Preston North End in January 2018 but the forward struggled to make an impact at London Stadium and has so far just featured in three Premier League games for the club.

He scored seven goals in 41 appearances last season for Boro, who missed out on a place in the play-offs by one point.

“I want to get my head down and make my mark here, which is something I need to do for my career,” said Hugill.

“To be wanted again and play football was the main thing for me.”
