George Parris: West Ham have the goals in them to stay up this season

The club's attacking options are reason for hope

Where we find ourselves in the table right now, naturally you have to be worried.

What makes me even more worried is that everyone around us have to play each other, and so are likely to pick up points, while we enter a run a games where we might come away with very little.

We have to look at ourselves and concentrate on what we are doing, and take each game as it comes. We’ve got some tough games coming up but anything we can get from these will boost confidence.

I am worried that after this run of tough games – even if we pick up points at home to Southampton – we might be cemented in the bottom three with a lot to do.

If we can perform like we did for 60 plus minutes in the Brighton game, there’s no reason we can’t get ourselves out of this.

If anyone had said before the game that we’d be 3-1 up by 70 minutes, you’d have bitten their hand off so to end the game 3-3 was certainly two points dropped.

The positive I thought from the Brighton game was for long periods we were going forward looking like a side playing well.

Hopefully come April we will still be in the mix – don’t forget other sides around us have difficult games too so it’s not going to be easy for them either.
