Spurs supporter Callum Price shares his honest views on the former Brentford boss and the impact of Mohammed Kudus ahead of the London derby

West Ham fans at the West Ham United v Tottenham Hotspur EPL match, at the London Stadium, London, UK on 13th September, 2025.

First impressions of the new era

What’s your honest first impression of Thomas Frank? Inspired appointment or a sideways move?

Cautiously optimistic. It felt sensible rather than exciting but I think that’s what we needed. However, I now feel like he is way out of his depth.

The Arsenal cup controversy

How did you feel seeing Frank drinking from an Arsenal cup?

Not great, if I’m honest. It’s a weird look before you’ve even earned any goodwill and you’re not seeing results week in week out.

Addressing the fan backlash

Frank recently said fans who boo or leave early “aren’t true fans” do you agree with that, or was it a step too far?

Too far. Fans pay a lot of money and have every right to react when performances aren’t good enough. He probably isn’t used to this coming from Brentford but he needs to learn results are everything here.

The toxic home record

Why do Spurs fans seem to boo so regularly at home?

Years of near-misses and false promises. The frustration builds quickly when it feels like the same story on repeat. We have an awful home record as well we can’t seem to win a game.

Assessment of Mohammed Kudus

What was your reaction to signing Mohammed Kudus from West Ham United?

Brilliant player, painful source. If we’re honest, he’s exactly the kind of attacking threat we’ve been crying out for. However, I see glimpses of laziness and never tracking back to win back the ball.

The challenge of Spurs culture

Do you think Spurs culture makes it harder for managers to succeed, regardless of style or philosophy?

Yes. The expectations are huge, but the patience is thin it’s a tough combo for any manager.

Defining success for the future

What actually counts as success for Spurs next season: trophies, top four, or just feeling like you’re moving forward again?

Real progress and consistency. A trophy would be amazing (probably won’t happen), but feeling like we’re finally moving forward matters most.
